It offers Howgills Barn, which can house up to 35 guests in eight en-suite bedrooms, plus five apartments with between two and four bedrooms.
Bookings mostly come through its website – https://www.howgillsaccommodation.co.uk/ – so when Marketing Manager Dawn Wells redesigned the website, she was keen to get feedback.
She said: “I wanted a fresh pair of eyes to look at it and the Catalyst scheme was ideal for that.”
Growth Hub adviser Phil Guest reviewed the website, visited the business and then produced a report.
Dawn said: “He raised some useful pointers as to what we needed to change or improve. For example, he suggested having a slider on the home page with photos of the barn and the apartments.
“His report also covered Google Analytics, key words and SEO to improve our rankings in searches for ‘Sedbergh accommodation’.
“We followed his advice and it has paid dividends. We’re getting more traffic to the website and online bookings are up. It was very useful feedback.”
